While nearly every other pair of smart glasses is using a camera, this one is opting for an ulterior method to achieve its display for notifications, reminders, and more. Meet the second-gen Halliday G2 camera-less smart glasses, which utilize a camera-less display to provide information.
Pre-orders for the G2s begin today and will retail for $599 with a projected shipment window of September 2026. Those interested can place a $10 deposit down and receive $100 off of the retail price.
So how does it work without cameras? Projectors. Namely, a pair of micro-LED projectors that provide 600 x 300 resolution in each eye and up to 1,600 nits of brightness. This provides display cards for real-time translation in over 45 languages, phone notifications, and cheatsheet mode, which includes teleprompter-style notes, speech prompts, and reminders—all within the top field of view without disrupting your line of sight.
Halliday’s new AI experience for these specs is called Meeting Flow, which is targeted for professionals who want to get things done without a phone or tablet. This feature offers real-time captioning, conversation summaries, instant fact-checking, transcripts, post-meeting summaries, and more for effective meetings.
Halliday packs all of this within a lightweight frame that weighs under 50 grams with support for prescription lenses to make these your only glasses on your face. And regarding the rest of the specs, they offer an integrated touchpad on the glasses’ frame, a dedicated action button, hands-free control with the “Hey Halliday’ command, a 4-mic setup with voice recognition, and are quoted at over 12 hours of battery life.
The original Halliday smart glasses were announced at CES 2025 via Kickstarter, and shipments went out in March of last year. It had a $489 price tag and beams information into your line-of-sight via a 3.5-inch round display.
