Today, Plantronics has an announcement that brings forth new audio products to add to their already-massive inventory. More specifically, additions to the BackBeat Fit & Pro line of products.
Let’s kick things off w/ the new Fit 3200 wireless sport earbuds. They’re similar to last year’s model as it offers an IP57 sweat + waterproof design, 8-hour battery & 24-hour total w/ its charging case, and an Awareness mode that allows you to hear your surroundings w/o having to pause or take them off.
Next up, we have their new truly wireless earbuds w/ the Fit 5100. These are meant to combat the Jabra Elite series of buds. The 5100s offer a small compact design, noise-isolating eartips, 4 noise-canceling mics to combat the wind + background noise, and a 6 and a half-hour battery life that adds 13 hours via its charging case. These are probably my favorite out of the bunch.
Moving away from the earbuds for a bit, we got a new pair of over-the-ear headphones w/ the Fit 6100. With these you got an IPX5 sweat + water-resistant design that makes it more rugged yet still being stable, 40mm drivers on noise-isolating memory foam cups, 24-hour battery life, and carries over the Awareness mode from the 3200 earbuds. This is Plantronics sportier take on what durable cans should/sound like.
And last but not least, we got the Fit 3150 sport earbuds. These aren’t a regional thing but an update on last year’s 3100 buds. You still retain IP57 waterproof design, an 8-hour battery life that adds 16 hours via charging case, and their Always Aware eartips that keep your in the real-world while listening to media.
All 4 of these products are out today. The BackBeat Fit 3150 will cost you $150, the Fit 3200 will also cost $150, the Pro 5100 will cost $160 and the Fit 6100 will cost you $180.
