Earlier this week, the folks over at Jeep dropped some images to show off their official 1st electric SUV. Now we don’t have a name, specs, pricing, or anything on this. They only thing we know about it is that it is set to arrive on 2023.
This will resembles their more recent Jeep Compass but slightly higher lifted to make room for the battery w/ larger tires and slightly remixed headlights + front grille as well. All of that and a bright Yellow paint job that looks pretty good in my opinion. Curious to see if they’ll drop any info or details on it at the New York Auto Show next month. Maybe, maybe not – just wishful thinking.
The Jeep company is definitely making up for lost time despite being tardy to the EV party. Along w/ this SUV, they will drop zero-emission versions of all of its vehicles by 2025 w/ plug-in hybrids. However, they have dropped plug-in hybrid versions of the Wrangler + Grand Cherokee and got an off-road version of the Grand Cherokee + Trailhawk w/ a hybrid motor.
Jeeps’ parent company Stellantis also teased an EV versions of the Ram 1500 pickup truck as well as their Dodge muscle car. While there some early sketches on what the Ram will look like but nothing is final as of yet. So get ready for more electric vehicles from the likes of Stellantis which includes Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, & many more carmakers in the very near future.
