Another day, another leak of an upcoming phone. Yesterday, the folks over at Android Headlines, with @onleaks, released images that give us a good look at what to expect from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. If these images are true, you’ll have to wait a little longer for a shorter, wider foldable from Samsung.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 images are courtesy of the device’s apparent CAD dimensions, which are essentially the actual measurements sent to accessory makers for cases and such. Similar to the S26 phones, the Z Fold 8 appears to be incremental with possibly one or two noteworthy features.
The potential measurements hint at a slightly thicker device, which could provide a needed boost in battery, from the Z Fold 7’s 4,400 mAh to a 5,000 mAh cell. Also, thanks to the mildly thicker phone, Samsung could bring back the S Pen for the Fold 8. Last year’s Fold 7’s build was so thin that Samsung didn’t have room for it and removed it entirely.
Outside of the aforementioned upgrades, we should expect a new Snapdragon chip, faster charging speeds, and updated camera sensors—all with the same 6.5-inch outer and 8-inch inner screens and a $2,000 price tag. But we’re still several months away from any type of reveal, so take it all with a grain or pinch of salt.
