It’s hard to believe that Ultrahuman, one of the notable smart ring companies, was facing a patent infringement case from rival Oura. This case ended in favor of Oura and blocked Ultrahuman from selling its products in the US. Thanks to a new redesign, Ultrahuman is pushing forward past the legal drama with Oura and is dropping its newest smart ring, the $400 Ring Pro.
The newest Ultrahuman accessory is comprised of a titanium unibody design, which sports a new ProRelease technology that allows the ring to be cut in case of swelling or injury; is powered by an upgraded dual-core chip; has improved heart-rate sensing; touts up to 15 days of battery on a single charge; and is capable of storing up to 250 days of data. However, it arrives with a $100 Pro charging case, which adds 45 days of extra battery life, Find My support, Qi charging, and stores up to one year of data.
Pre-orders for the Ring Pro begin today, but won’t ship until May 15th. It’s worth noting that Ultrahuman provides numerous features—all without an additional subscription. The newest smart ring is available in Bionic Gold, Space Silver, Aster Black, and Raw Titanium color options, with ring sizes 5-14 available.
