The good news is that Apple’s upcoming next-gen MacBook Pro is still set to arrive this year. The bad news is that it’s reported to be delayed ever so slightly. Apparently, Apple isn’t immune to the supply chain issues plaguing the personal computing space, such as RAM and SSD storage.
According to the latest report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s anticipated launch date may change by a few months and could go on sale potentially sometime next year. Apple’s next-generation MacBook Pro is expected to offer several firsts for the company, outside of being armed with new chips. Current rumors clock it as having a touchscreen OLED display, a Dynamic Island cutout, and more powerful M6 Pro and M6 Max processors.
Not only the upcoming MacBook Pro laptops, but the upcoming Mac Studio update could be affected as well, which would add the company’s newest M5 chip options. Unlike the new Pro laptops, the Studio could arrive sometime slightly earlier in October.
