Yesterday afternoon, Samsung announced a Galaxy event happening next week. Apparently, the company isn’t done releasing phones for the year. The press announcement says it will be unveiling the newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family.
I think it’s safe to say it’s the S26 FE. The Galaxy FE (Fan Edition) phones usually closely mirror the Galaxy S flagships in specs but skimp on materials to keep prices lower. The previous FE shipped with a 6.7-inch 120 Hz display, an Exynos 2400 chip, 8 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, a durable IP68-rated body, and a triple-camera setup with a 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto.
The invite says the Galaxy Event in August 2026 will take place on August 27th at 8 AM ET and will be livestreamed via Samsung and YouTube. We’ll make sure to share the news of everything revealed next week.
