Joining Samsung and the rest of the industry in price hikes is Google’s what-used-to-be budget phone, the Pixel 10a. If you had bought the phone earlier last week, it would’ve been $100 less, as the 10a now has a starting price of $600.

The 10a unfortunately joins the rest of the Pixel family with increased costs. The entry-level Pixel now starts at $600 for the 128GB model, and the $700 for the 256GB. And we all thought the $500 price point was a stretch, as this is much worse. Between the costs of everything from RAM, fuel, food, and more, it sucks that consumers have to feel the brunt of it all.

The new pricing for the Pixel 10a is already in effect at the Google Store and retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy, so there’s no avoiding it. So if you’re interested, I suggest checking for a refurbished or open-box model. If this continues, the pricing of everything in 2027 is going to suck.
