One of the 1st carrier’s to actually beat everyone to the punch w/ Lollipop surprisingly enough was Verizon. Last night, they began rolling out the Android 5.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy S5 for VZW. This makes the 2nd device outside of Motorola’s stable of devices to get Lollipop other than Nexus devices.
Now don’t expect a world of change like a pure Android but TouchWiz will get a little bit better-looking. Its no Material Design as only slightly-changed UI, new color schemes, app switcher, and new buttons. We gave you a quick-look at what TouchWiz will appear to look like previously. You’ll also get new notifications + Smart Lock features.
This will arrive in 2 updates due to the size. Hopefully, the Note4 and the Droid Turbo Lollipop updates can’t be too far behind.
