Google’s tablet of 2015, the Pixel C, has already been getting some flack from the early reviews from it. No one is questioning the design or build of the hardware, but more so the features lack thereof features in the software side of things.
During an AMA on reddit yesterday, the Pixel C team were taking on your questions. During this, they were asked about the lack of multi-screen multitasking on Android. One of their responses were that those features are already in the works. The real question is: will we have to wait until Android N to see a split screen UI for Android tablets? Not sure but probably yes, unfortunately.
Kind of weird that the Pixel C didn’t’ ship w/ these features already baked in. Google is a bit behind as the rest of the competition has it present on their slates. Apple has it on their iPads and Microsoft been had it on their Surface devices. Now we wait for Google to bring it. Hopefully, it will arrive ahead of Google I/O in 2016.
