As 2015 comes to a close, it’s time to start shifting to 2016 and what new types of tech it will bring to the masses. More specifically, the new flagship(s) from the folks over at Samsung w/ the upcoming Galaxy S series. Like last year, we’re expecting a standard and an Edge version of their upcoming Galaxy S7.
According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Samsung looks to take a play out of Apple’s playbook w/ one of their new features. They are looking add a pressure-sensitive display like Apple’s 3D Touch panel which isn’t much of a surprise to me. This is also set to be included within the Edge version as well.
The design/look of the S7 isn’t expected to change too much for the most part. Supposedly, the camera hump will be gone along w/ improvements to the overall optic ability. Also new will be a USB-C port w/ fast-charging, expandable storage, and possibly an iris scanner of sorts.
We’re looking at a mid-March release for the Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge. Which should align w/ an announcement around Mobile World Congress in February. Are you looking forward to the new S7 or more so the Note 6?
