So w/ the new Gears of War on the way, there was a lot of questions in regards to what to expect – especially from the footage shown off at E3 last year. Don’t expect the new title to feature the fan-favorites of Marcus Fenix and the crew. Revealed in the upcoming Game Informer issue, GOW 4 takes place 25 years after the events of Gears 3.
The new game w/ will focus on the son of Marcus, JD Fenix, finding his way in the world as a war hero’s son. JD is an idealist who ran away from home when he was younger to join the COGs only to go AWOL after an incident gamers will learn about as they play. As far as gameplay is concerned, split-screen co-op will still remain as GOW 4 will run at 60fps for both online and local gaming. Gears Of War 4 is set to arrive sometime during the fall as an Xbox One exclusive.
