Now that all of the Galaxy Tabs are released for all of the major US carriers, it about time to offer simple solution to rooting your Galaxy Tab. This way is easier than previous root instructions. You can actually download the rooting method from the Android Market of all places which allows for a one button root. The super brief instructions are below after the break.
Download and install Z4Root from the Market
Enable USB debugging (menu>settings>applications>development)
Run the app, and press the “root” button
Your Tab will restart, and you’re rooted. Unrooting is just as easy, just run z4root and “unroot.”
The Z4 Root app actually works for all of the Android devices listed below as well.
