Engadget got the scoop on Dell’s new hybrid netbook/tablet called the Inspiron Duo. The Inspiron Duo is armed with a dual-core Intel Atom N550 processor, a Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator, 2 USB ports, 2GB of RAM, 250GB HD, and running Windows 7 Home Premium all on a 10.1inch touchscreen w/ 1366 x 768 resolution. The IDuo looks like your standard netbook with ‘chiclet’ keyboard until you flip the screen out and over, close the netbook and go into tablet mode. In the tablet setting, the IDuo automatically launches Dell’s Duo Stage UI running on Windows 7. The base model is set to start at $549 and available in three different colors: “Marlin” Blue, “Foggy Night” Black, and “Fastback” Red. We should expect pre-orders to kick off soon as it is supposed to begin shipping the first week of December. This definitely looks interesting, what do you think? Sound off in the comments.
