huawei-fit-1Today, Huawei unveils their new wearable fitness solution: the Huawei Fit.  It resembles that of a smartwatch but acts as a fitness band. The Fit offers a super lightweight design You no physical buttons – only an always-on, black-and-white touchscreen display to interact w/ it.

Huawei wants to be considered for your next fitness wearable.

The Fit offers a super lightweight design w/ a single aluminum piece and swappable bands.  You have no physical buttons – only an always-on, black-and-white touchscreen display to interact w/ it.  The Fit offers tracking for walking, running, sleeping, steps taken, distance, calories burned, and time asleep. As far as heart rate monitoring, it can manually measure your heart rate or do it continuously while being active.

The Fit was made w/ runners in mind as it does offer training guidance for 5K, 10K, and half/full marathons.  Along w/ all of that, it has a 5ATM water resistance rating (which means just over 150ft) and it will send you notifications/calls from your synced smartphone too.  What’s battery life for this you might ask?  It is quoted at 6 days on a single charge and up to 30 days on standby.  Not bad.

The Fit connects to your smartphone via an app as it works for both Android & iOS devices.  The app also works as a workaround since the watch doesn’t offer GPS support.  The Huawei Fit is out today priced at $130.   You can find them in the links below.  So who’s gonna give this shot for everyday, casual fitness-tracking?
