Looks like the Droid Eris isn’t completely forgotten by Verizon as it plans to roll out a maintenance update starting on July 16th. Verizon recently ceased sales on the Droid Eris to make way for the new Droids but for those still with an Eris on hand, more improvement on its way like:
- improved audio
- enhanced speed dial
- improved text, video and picture messaging functionality
- contact sync with Backup Assistant, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and Facebook
- an enhanced and stabilized weather app and widget
- Bluetooth pairing now works with Jabra headsets too
- better GMail contact sync
