Sony also added to their Xperia line w/ the 3rd-generation XZ smartphone today.  Meet the Xperia XZ3: their vision of an Android flagship.  The new design is more straightforward this time around.  Not much of a curve, just a minimalist take on a Sony smartphone.  The internals isn’t too far off from what was done w/ the Xperia XZ2/XZ2 Premium.

The XZ3 offer a 6inch 18:9 QHD+ AMOLED HDR display, powered by a Snapdragon 845 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a f/2.0 19MP rear-facing camera w/ OIS w/ 4k HDR video + 960fps Super Slow Motion video @1080p, a 13MP selfie camera, NFC, stereo speakers w/ high-res audio, IP65/68 dust + water-resistant body, rear fingerprint reader, running Android 9.0 Pie, and a 3330 mAh battery w/ Quick Charge support.

Sony added a new feature here called Side Sense.  Think of it as their spin on Google’s squeezing the sides as you have a side sensing touch panel that brings up recent apps or whatever you customize it to be.  Other than that, its what you expect from Sony.

Sony will put this on sale at the end of September w/ it being one of the few phones running Android Pie.  What do you think of Sony’s latest smartphone?
