Sony didn’t want Nintendo to control all of the throwback gaming market. Yesterday, Sony announced their new retro console called the PlayStation Classic. It is modeled and a smaller version of the original PlayStation which came out 25 years ago.
So the mini PlayStation ships w/ 2 wired PS1 controllers, HDMI/USB cables and will ship w/ 20 titles. We don’t have the complete list but a few of the games are Final Fantasy 7, Tekken 3, & Ridge Racer Type 4. It will cost you $100 for it as pre-orders are now live for it.
This is cool but I’m not sure I want to play PS 1 games and definitely not for $100. Especially when the Switch, Xbox, iOS, & other platforms have some of their bigger titles. But that’s just me. What’re your thoughts on it?
