  • AT&T customers will be getting their hands on the Blackberry Bold sometime in Oct. Also you guys are getting an official 4.5 OS mid-Sept for the 8820, 8310, 8120, & 8300. As well as getting the 8320 (WiFi Curve) in a dark blue packed with the 4.5 OS b4 Sept ends. I got my beta 4.5 OS from Orange UK, you AT&T guys will definitely enjoy it.

  • All Verizon folks waiting for the Blackberry Storm, you’ll have to keep waiting cause it just got pushed back another 3-4 weeks from its rumored October release date.

  • Google has released a browser to compete with all the other browsers to choose from. It’s called the Google Chrome, it’s in a beta form and it is equipped with the best features from Opera, Firefox, & Internet Explorer 8. To download check this out.

  • T-mobile released their 1st 3G device, the SonyEricsson TM506. It has a 2MP camera, music player, messaging, memory stick micro slot, & built-in GPS w/Telenav. For more info visit T-Mo’s site.

  • Since we’re on SonyEricsson, they will be dropping the long-awaited XPERIA X1 on Sept 30 BUT not in the US, sorry everybody.

  • Back to T-Mobile, the number 4 carrier gets 1st crack@the new Blackberry Pearl flip phone, the 8220 (WiFi). This has an external LCD, SureType qwerty keyboard, all the goodies equipped with the 4.6 OS (Docs To Go applications that can view/edit Word, Excel & PowerPoint, video recording, HTML email abilities and 16GB expandable memory).   • Apple had an big event yesterday announcing new toys (along w/ tweaked old ones). New iPod Nano has a new OS w/shake-to-shuffle ability, Genius playlist & curved glass screen. Priced@$150 for 8GB & $200 for the 16GB model. New iPod Touch has a new redesigned case, integrated Nike & iPod functionality, external volume controls & speakers. Priced@$230 for the 8GB, $300 for the 16GB, and $400 for the 32GB model. The iPod Classic comes in ONLY a 120GB model. This replaces the 80GB and 160GB versions, priced@$250. iPhone gets a new 2.1 firmware update. This will improve battery life, reduce crashes/dropped calls and provided faster backups.
