This year Apple definitely looks to be changing some of its old-fashioned ways with the possibility of first doing in-house repairs within their stores and now looking into accepting iPhone trade-ins.  According to Bloomberg, this move is aimed specifically to boost the sales on the iPhone 5 by having iPhone 4/4S owners to trade-up for little or no $$$.  Apple’s new trade-in program will be run by Brightstar, a mobile phone distributor who already handles AT&T + T-Mobile’s trade-in programs.   This could help Apple compete more with the competition between them and Samsung.  The new trade-in service is scheduled to launch sometime this month.
