Today Google quietly released the Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition. The 6.4inch giant w/ 1920 x 1080 resolution now offers a Stock Android experience. It will be powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage expandable via microSD card, and an Exmor R 8MP rear-facing camera.

The Z Ultra, like the other phones in the Z series, is waterproof, dustproof and shock resistant. It will ship with Android 4.4 (KitKat).  We assume that its 4.4.1 like the other GPE devices, with 4.4.2 coming soon, but no official word yet. If you’re interested in the Sony device you can head over to the Google Play Store and pick one up. It will set you back $649 and is available today and leaves the warehouse in 1-2 days.
