origin_2789374419 We spoke about what we heard about Amazon’s take on a smartphone last year and now it may come into fruition sooner than you think.  According to folks over at the Wall Street Journal, we could see an official announcement sometime in June and a launch in September.  But don’t expect just a simple Kindle Fire HDX in the form a smartphone.  Amazon wants to stand out of the Android crowd a bit.

Amazon may finally make its entry within the smartphone wars.

Amazon’s smartphone is slated to offer 4 front-facing cameras w/ retina-tracking abilities to display 3D images without glasses.  Before you all start rolling your eyes, this tech is said to enables whatever you see on your screen to float above it like a hologram.   No other word on specs as of yet but we can expect them to offer some high-end internals to compete in the smartphone wars of 2014.

No word on whether we will see one or one of many Kindle phones.  There was also word of HTC being behind them in regards of design.  With this, Google I/O, & WWDC, this is going to be a hot summer for smartphones.
