Polk Audio is definitely one of the respected Audio makers in the game.  It would only make sense for them to expand into making gaming headsets. They are new to me in regards to making gaming headsets but they made several headsets before.

Enter the Striker Pro Zx for the Xbox One from Polk Audio.  These cans have an interesting design to it as I am curious to know how well or bad Polk Audio can make a pair of gaming headsets.  We've been using these guys for a few weeks now and we're ready to tell you everything you need to know about it.

Design/Comfort

Polk Audio has a great approach in regards to design.  It is ergonomically crafted while maintaining a premium look and not being feeling/looking cheap.  The cups rotate 90-degree to sit on your shoulders when not in use as an added bonus.

The Striker Pro Zxs are pretty light build w/ a comfy metal headband w/ soft leather earcups.  It still can make you hot but not as much as other gaming cans I used before.  These are pretty damn comfortable pair of cans.  Awesome job to the team at Polk Audio.

Sound

With Polk Audio, the sound quality on these cans better be pristine - and they are.  They also ship w/ 3 cables: one for smartphone/tablet use, one long one for PC gaming, and a dual-jack console one.   The soft-leather earcups are over-the-ear as well as noise-isolating to rock out in peace.  Thanks to their proprietary 40mm drivers w/ Dynamic Balance + Polk's Optimized Electronics Tuning the sound is great on these.

Now these aren't the biggest sound I've heard on gaming headsets.  But it is a more accurate + precise sound behind it.  You get a great range of mids, strong highs, and pumping bass.  Equating to crisp gun shots, superb background music, and strong vocals while gaming.  And lastly, I thought I would hate the placement for the mute button on the boom mic but in no time I got used to it right away.

Not the biggest sound from gaming headsets but a more accurate sound & more comfortable than others.

TG 2 Cents

This isn't Polk Audio's 1st foray into gaming cans, but this is my 1st time experiencing it.  The hunt for the perfect gaming cans continues but if it were to stop here, I would be completely satisfied.  The Striker Pro Zx by Polk Audio offers a great balance of everything you would want w/ lightweight, comfortable gaming cans that produces great & precise sound to back it up.  Keeping Polk Audio's legacy of great audio intact.

To Buy Or Not To Buy

Priced at $149.95, the newest gaming cans from Polk Audio offer a great balance of everything you would want w/o any real sacrifices to your gaming experience.  For those of you w/ the older controllers, you do get the stereo headset adapter included too.
