dji-phantom-3-4kDJI hopes to cover even more bases by announcing 2 new versions of their popular drones.  Say hello to the new Phantom 3 and the Inspire 1 – kind of soft of.

The new Phantom 3 adds 4K video quality into the mix.  Prior, you could only shoot 4K on the Phantom 3 Professional and now it comes to the standard one.  Also, it won’t have the DJI Lightbridge video system but you will have access to range-extended Wi-Fi link.   Pricing for the 4K-enabled Phantom is now $999.

dji-inpsire-1-pro-blackThis all-Black Inspire 1 Pro is just that, a new color.  That and a higher quality 16MP camera to shoot your 4K quality video with.  This is definitely a pricey one at $4,499, this will be a filmmaker’s dream but worth it.

FYI drone owners: don’t forget to register your drone, the penalties are kind of steep.
