Hangouts is one of my main sources of communication these days. More so over phone and standard texting. 2 years ago, the iOS version of the app got the ability to record/send video from within the app as Android users have been waiting patiently. Well, its safe to say you can wait no more.
You will soon see a video icon within the options of Photos, Stickers, & location. You will now be able to send video within conversation up to 60 seconds (or more) at a time. Now you can’t send previously recorded footage, only fresh video so keep that in mind. Also, it will ditch the ability to merge Hangouts & SMS conversations as you will now have a separate thread for it. This is a play for users to start utilizing Google Messenger to handle your text messages.
