While we’re still fresh off of 2016, we’re getting to that time of new smartphones for 2017 (flagships & others).  Huawei kicked things off at CES and it looks like HTC will be up next.  They’re set to unveil something new tomorrow at their U Event.

HTC looks borrow features from LG & Samsung w/ this one.

Checking out the photos above, you can see some familiar aesthetics at play w/ this device – which is codenamed Ocean Note.  They definitely appear to be going for the more larger device w/ this one.  We’re looking at possibly a 6inch QHD display w/ a 2nd display a la LG V-series, powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, USB-C, downward-facing speaker, and a fingerprint reader.

Looks like HTC might be done w/ the all-metal unibody design from here on out or just trying something different this time around.  Not sure if we’re gonna get one or multiple devices at the U Event but this is one of them.   What’re your thoughts on HTC’s if you can’t beat-em-join-em strategy?
