According to DigiTimes, Apple’s next iPad will offer three variations of the tablet: Wi-Fi only, 3G, and CDMA.    If what is said is true, there will not be one universal iPad for all but a trio.     DigiTimes states that:

Apple will ship about 500,000-530,000 units to channels in January with shipment ratio of Wi-Fi, UMTS and CDMA models at 3:4:3, according to industry sources, citing upstream component makers.

Since sales indicate that most people (60-65%) buy the 3G version of the Apple tablet, they plan to push out more of those.   No word on Sprint but with Verizon slated to push out an iPhone, we know they will definitely offer the CDMA iPad 2.   Along with that, Apple is beefing up their anti-smudge/reflective treatments for their glass screen as well.     So if the iPad sequel is armed with a dual-core 1GHz processor, front & rear-facing cameras, thinner/lighter build, and Verizon CDMA support; this will definitely make 2011 a big selling year for Apple.
