ASUS is currently taking pre-orders for the world’s first quad-core, Android tablet with the Transformer Prime. The next-generation Transformer tablet is going for $499.99 for the storage size of 32GB and $599.99 for the 64GB size. Offering a quad-core 1.3GHz processor by NVIDIA, a 10.1inch display, 1GB of RAM, running Android 3.2, mini-HDMI and dual cameras (1.3MP in front & 8MP in the back). ASUS gave us a release schedule of sometime next month in December but we didn’t know it could be this close. According to the pre-order page on NewEgg, consumers can expect the tablet to officially launch December 8th, which is next Thursday. That wasn’t a long wait at all. BTW, the Prime is on the list to receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as well. In case you needed more reason to pick one up.
