Surprisingly, Apple unveiled an even more powerful 4th generation iPad.   It is more or less an updated iPad 3, as they made his refresh halfway through its shelf life.  The new iPad offers a new dual-core A6x processor (that offers twice the graphics speeds), Lightning port, and FaceTime HD front-facing 720p camera.  It does keep the 5MP iSight rear camera, beautiful Retina display, and pricing as well.

The newer model starts at $499 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model an so forth while the LTE 16GB model starts at $629.  And like the mini, pre-orders start on Friday as the Wi-Fi models begin shipping on November 2nd.  The LTE models will ship weeks later.
