After a few months of waiting in anticipation for more details after unveiling their 10.6inch Surface tablet, Microsoft is now taking pre-orders. You can now reserve the 32GB Surface running Windows RT with a $499 starting price. The Surface tablet running Windows 8 will not be launched until sometime early next year. Unfortunately, the awesome cover/keyboard does not ship with it, the Touch Cover that comes in five different colors has a $119.99 price tag on it & the Type Cover is priced at $129.99.
The Surface tablet is armed with 10.6inch HD display, powered by a NVIDIA T30 processor, 2GB of RAM, dual cameras both capable of 720p HD video, USB 2.0 port, microSDXC port, HD video out, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, dual mics, stereo speakers, and ships with Office 2013 RT Home and Student that gets upgraded to the full version later.
