Ahh. The Google Maps fiasco for iOS. It sure has been a messy journey from being a native maps solution for the iPhone since its inception to being omitted from it recently on the update to iOS 6. There were rumors of Google working with Apple to get their app on the App Store like they did with other apps (Gmail, Google Drive, YouTube, etc.).
Instead of dealing with less-than-stellar alternatives, Google Maps is back on iOS. AllThingsD reported earlier this evening that it was coming and Google delivered. You have all of cool features from Android finally on iOS. You got Street View, Turn-By-Turn directions, Google local search w/ places of interest, and more.
