According to rock-solid sources over at the Wall Street Journal, Apple could begin production of the next iPhone sometime this quarter for a summer launch which was reported earlier as well. The new iPhone is shaping up to be similar in size and shape offering a 4inch display w/ 1136 x 640 resolution and more than likely faster internals (i.e. the iPhone 5S). A summer release would be an interesting move as it will shorten the life cycle of Apple’s smartphone to less than a year.
Also reported to arrive is a low-end version of the current iPhone except offering different casing materials and other color schemes other than Black & White. Not sure if this will be available every where or select market or regional carriers. We’ll just have to wait and see on this bit of news.
