Last time we talked about the future of technology, Google Glass, we gave you all of the specs and some more details on how it would work with your mobile device.  Glass is armed with a 5MP camera capable of 720p HD video, 16GB of storage and a one-day battery life.  Now we have even more details on the wearable tech.

The current models out now are called the Explorer editions, think of them as the beta versions for those who have $1,500 to spend on them.  Eric Schmidt told the BBC in an interview not to expect the consumer version to become available until sometime next year.  We expect the consumer models to be cheaper, hopefully.

Google Glass will run Android ‘Lite’.

Although Google Glass will be using Android products, the device will not run Android apps as devices typically do.  Glass will interact with the mobile platform via the cloud and only use web apps. Leaving developers with a limited use for their apps in order to sacrifice battery life.  Maybe future models will get full on Android when the tech gets there.
