Everyone’s favorite virtual assistant (not Siri) Google Now could be on its way to your desktop. The folks over at Google Operating System found the feature hiding within some code on Google’s homepage. This version of Google Now would use either one of three locations: Current, Home, or Work in order to get weather/traffic conditions, places to eat, appointments/meetings, and more. Part of the actual code lies below.
Google Now can easily replace the recently killed off iGoogle personalized homepage. I honestly think that was part of their plan all along. The upcoming Google I/O conference is shaping up to offer a boatload of announcements and new products. Hopefully most of those I/O rumors are true.
