Thus far, all of the critics adore Google’s Chromecast that launched last week. Even with its limited services available for streaming. Currently users can only stream Netflix, YouTube, Google Play Movies/Music, Pandora, and a Chrome tab. For starters Vimeo’s VP of mobile told GigaOm that,”they are looking forward to offering Chromecast support in our products.” They have also learned that Redbox Instant will support the streaming dongle as well. Plex is also looking into support too.
Uncovered by GTVHacker‘s CJ Heres, there is some data within the Chromecast’s software that shows future apps currently in testing for future support. Apps like HBO Go, Songza, and Revision3 are expected to hit the list of supported services too. Exciting times for a device that hasn’t been on the market for a full week yet.
