It’s actually hard to believe that the G-Shock brand is 30 years. Maybe because we both here at TGSB are 33 years old and having been avid wearers since before high school. Casio held a grand their Shock The World event in NYC full of good eats, open bar, and a host of actors, models, rappers, & tastemakers. The company going over the history of the rugged, popular brand before unveiling a slew of new watches to be released later this year. Like their new Bluetooth watches, refreshed models, and the new luxurious MTG watch.
Casio’s G-Shock is the original rugged, smartwatch – that keep getting better & better.
Introducing the new 6900-series of Bluetooth G-Shock watches that offers more function than its predecessor from last year. Using Bluetooth 4.0 technology, the watch supports devices like the iPhone 4S/5 and the Galaxy S4. With this watch, you can set phone alarms/timers, receive alert notifications for incoming calls + emails, and being able to control your smartphone music player as well as the ability to adjust your watch settings from your phone.
The watch comes in two models: GB-6900B & GB-X6900B and is equipped w/ an estimated 2-year battery life. Both the iPhone and GS4 works w/ the G-Shock app in their designated app stores. Expect all of the watches to launch later this year, just in time for the holidays.
