After hearing about Microsoft’s decision to require a Xbox Live Gold subscription to access their cool features on the Xbox One, this may have caused some concern for PlayStation loyalists. But have no fear. Concerned gamers reached out to the very active Sony’s head of SCE Worldwide Shuhei Yoshida on Twitter for answers.
Have no fear, PlayStation Plus will not be required to access the PS4 Game DVR & streaming abilities. All gamers will have access to the services. But mindful that some online multiplayer will require the PS Plus subscription to use.
