Looks like the folks over at Windows Phone Central got more details on upcoming WP8 update on the way in the very near future.  The site actually got the news from a forum member XS2K who said he bought a Lumia 920 off of Craigslist that had the newer software on-board.  The new software is dubbed Windows Phone 8 GDR3 and Nokia’s Lumia Bittersweet Shimmer updates.

The new changes spotted thus far on the new updates are:
  • Custom sounds for text, voice mail, e-mail, and reminders (not seen in this build of GDR3)
  • Restore over Wi-Fi when you reset your phone
  • Huge amount of work on Bluetooth with various vehicles and devices
  • Driving Mode
  • Screen rotation lock
  • ‘X’ to close out apps in multitasking
  • Icon for multitasking apps
  • General performance improvements
  • 1080P Display support (for new devices)
  • Support for new Qualcomm chipsets

This corroborates w/ the news of the new 6inch Nokia Lumia to ship running this new update and then rolling out to other WP devices.  WPCentral got some video of the new update in action as you can see below.
