Earlier today, the folks over at Ubisoft unveiled the next installment of the Assassin’s Creed saga called Syndicate. The game will return to London during the Industrial Revolution of 1868 as it stars our new protagonists: Jacob & Evie Frye.
The basics will be the same more or less but more fist-fights this time around.
The brother & sister duo have their own strengths to bring to the table. Jacob is more of the brash rebel who’s also headstrong while Evie is more of a tactical, master of stealth. During particular story missions you would be locked into one character but during free gameplay you would be able to switch off.
Don’t look for multiplayer as its not an option on this game.
This time around there is a more involved in regards to the development & gameplay. This time around you can get help from street gangs during a fight as well as carry hidden weapons like additional twin blades, brass knuckles, etc. Ubisoft wants to focus on the game itself as they decided to do away w/ multiplayer option as this is a 1-player campaign only. They hope to create the biggest world this time around as this open world of London will be 30% bigger than it was on Unity.
This will be the 1st Assassin’s Creed to go next-gen as Syndicate will only be available for the PC, PS4, and the Xbox One on October 23rd.
