In typical Samsung fashion, they usually unveil the latest Galaxy flagship at MWC and wait until IFA to do the same w/ the Galaxy Note 5. This has pretty much been the case since 2011. This Samsung has been doing a lot of things different. From the design of the Galaxy S6 and now possibly this.
Instead of a September unveiling, we may see the Note 5 get officially revealed sometime in August. According to the folks over at the WSJ, Samsung looks to move up the timetable so they won’t have to share the spotlight w/ the new iPhones coming in September. This could also be utilized to combat their recent sales decline but that is more so from manufacturing constraints. This means you better get your $$$ ready for it a lot quicker for those of you who are waiting for it.
We don’t have too much info as of yet in regards to what to expect from the new Galaxy Note. Other than we can anticipate the inclusion of premium metals + glass like they did w/ the S6 & S6 edge. There was a report suggesting that w/ the new materials, the battery would be sealed shut and there would be no expandable storage involved. The good thing is we don’t have to wait too much longer to find out what’s true and what isn’t.
