It seemed like long ago when Razer announced its Nabu fitness smartband back at CES 2014. After a soft launch back in late 2014, it looks like they’re finally go live – officially. At PAX Prime this weekend, Razer unveiled details of the relaunch.
For a recap, it sports 2 OLED displays w/ 128 x 16 resolution, a 3-axis accelerometer, Bluetooth Low Energy, splashproof body, and a 6-day battery life. Razer did make a few design changes to the actual band itself this time around like having the main button on top and adding a magnetic clasp on the side.
You’ll be able to monitor your notifications (like email, text messages, etc.) and fitness/sleep tracking statistics. The cool thing about it is that 2 Nabu owners can share social media info and data w/ each other when they shake hands.
The Nabu works for both Android & iOS as pre-orders kick off on September 15th for $99.99 and will ship out sometime in October.
