Surprise, surprise. AT&T has brought their unlimited data plan back from the grave – only for select customers. And by select customers, I mean those who are also U-Verse or DirecTV subscribers. So you’ll have to add their cable services to take advantage of this unfortunately.
Its really 22GB of data per line though.
The unlimited plan gives you data, talk & text that starts off at $100 per month ($60 data fee + $40 device access fee) and $40 per every additional line w/ the 4th line free. So this would make a family of 4 only $180 per month before taxes, fees, etc. And BTW, its not really unlimited as you really get 22GB of data per line. Afterwards, you may be subject to throttling during high-traffic periods on their network. Tethering is not included w/ this so you’re gonna have to extra if you must have this feature. AT&T will discount your DirecTV/U-Verse bills $10 per month too.
But keep in mind, you still have to pay for the monthly cable service as well as monthly phone installments via AT&T Next on top of the $180. So this unlimited data plan can get costly real quick. This new plan goes into effect today so all you have to do is head down to your local AT&T retailer or call their Customer Service to make the switch.
