We pretty much know everything we need to about HTC’s VR offering the Vive, minus a few important particulars. Namely the pricing & availability but that all changes today. Earlier today, HTC finally let the cat out of the bag on when you can get your hands on one and for how much.
Pre-orders kick off on February 29thand will be available sometime in early April. The price point will set you back $799. As it doesn’t just include the headset but a complete VR solution for your home or designated space. The HTC Vive Consumer Edition includes an updated head strap, new phone functionality, 2 wireless VR controllers, room scale movement sensors, and 2 VR titles. The new phone services allow users to stay connected while using VR like the ability to still receive calls/text messages as well as reply & see calendar events.
On top of the pricing, you will still need a powerful enough computer to handle the Vive too BTW. With all of that said, who’s picking one up?
