Now it’s time to say hello to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge at the Mobile World Congress. Looks like all of the rumors and such were spot on. Now to lay out all of the goodies the S7 has to offer.
The Galaxy S7 is the perfect mesh of the Galaxy S5 and the S6.
The S7 & S7 Edge on the outside mirrors that of last year’s model. This time around we have an all-metal body that’s now IP68 water-resistant as well as dust resistant. On the inside, the Galaxy S7 offers a 5.1inch QHD Super AMOELD display w/ 577ppi, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB of RAM, choice of 32GB or 64GB storage expandable via microSD up to 200GB, running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a 3000 mAh battery, and both fast wired/wireless charging. The S7 Edge matches everything from the standard S7. But the Edge offers a larger 5.5inch QHD Super AMOLED display w/ dual edges + 534ppi and a larger 3600 mAh battery.
The new shooters are a dual-pixel f/1.7 12MP rear shooter and a wide-format 16:9 aspect ratio. The Dual-Pixel technology is supposed to let in more light than previously – like 56% more light to be exact. All of this to better handle low-light situations. The new camera can also focus up to 3 times faster as its new focus system is similar to that of a Canon DLSR.
You will be able to pre-order the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge starting on February 23rd at 8AM EST and they will go on sale on March 11th here in the US.
