Looks like Hulu is looking to make its evolution by offering live TV. Hulu’s chief Mike Hopkins made the announcement last week in regards to adding the feature of live entertainment, sports & news to the service sometime in early 2017.
It was previously hinted at in an article from the Wall Street Journal, Hulu is rallying up w/ networks to partner up for content like Disney, Fox, ESPN, FX, and more coming soon. They will unveil more details about the live TV plan later this year. This might be a good move to attract even more cord-cutters.
Hulu is already doing its own real series like The Path, 11.23.63, and The Mindy Project along w/ documentaries. This along w/ being able to watch live TV 24 hours after it airs live. This new move would definitely help Hulu standout a bit more from Netflix.
