As time moves on and the events pass up by, it’s time for the leaks to shift towards the way of Motorola. Thanks to a new leak from HelloMotoHK, we get a great look at what Motorola has in store for the 2016 version of the Moto X and Droid devices.
From the image above, we see Motorola finally added a fingerprint sensor to their devices but unfortunately not where you think. Looks like they’ve added a Home button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor instead of the rear dimple from previous designs. But you can chalk that up to an entirely new design, though. We see a new camera module reminiscent of the Moto 360 face w/ the flat tire present and all. The flat tire of the camera offers up a dual-LED flash. The new button layout serves up 3 separate buttons for Power, Volume Up & Volume Down.
The infrared sensors are still present to support Moto Display. Thank God! And lastly, we have 16 gold dots on the rear that would look like a dock connector of sorts. Curious to see what Lenovo/Motorola will do w/ it. We may get some sort of dock to work w/ accessories as well as working hand-in-hand w/ computers and such.
We can expect to see customization w/ Moto Maker as per usual. All of this would set to arrive an extent to the new Droids for 2016 as well. Even a new all-metal variant of the new Moto X. So who’s interested in the new Motos for 2016?
