It has definitely been a quiet year for Google Lens since being unveiled at I/O last year.  After yesterday, that will all change finally.   So we’re about to get more features for it and Google Lens will be even more accessible as well.

So Lens will now be able to point your camera at a word or words like a menu dish at a eating spot and get the ingredients for it as well as more info on it.  This will be able to be utilized for recipes, gift card codes, Wi-Fi passwords, & more.  Along w/ it recognizing word/words, it will be able to copy & paste them as well.  And lastly on the new tricks, you got Style match.  This will allow you find clothing via your camera and find similar or cheaper versions via Google shopping results.  Nice!

Currently, Google Lens is a Pixel exclusive but will be making its way to other phones from Motorola, Xiaomi, Sony, Nokia, OnePlus, Asus, TCL, and more.  LG will have this on their G7 ThinQ out of the box.  Sidenote: be on the lookout for our review coverage of the G7 starting next week.
