Looks like Google will be joining the light/dark theme feature that everyone from macOS, Twitter, & YouTube have been implementing lately. According to the findings over at Android Police, the feature will soon be added to the Pixel Launcher in the near future.
Previously, the launcher would react to a darker wallpaper by making the app drawer & quick settings darker. This new feature would be system-wide. This feature was actually requested in the Android P preview issue tracker & was marked complete. So when it arrives, you’ll be able to access it by going to Settings > Display > Device Theme.
So who’s looking forward to entering dark mode on their Pixel?
