The key thing here is that it is a Thunderbolt 3 drive. So if you computer or laptop doesn't support Thunderbolt 3 specifically, it won't work on it. The X5 SSD starts shipping on September 3rd and will cost you. The 500GB model is priced at $400, the 1TB model is $700, and the 2TB is $1,400.
