Earlier this morning, Skagen announced the sequel to their smartwatch: the Falster 2.  This time around, it adds the things that folks wanted in the original Falster – for the most part.

The Falster 2 adds NFC for mobile payment support, built-in GPS, heart-rate monitoring, Google Assistant.  You still have the option to swap out bands for a customizable look but it’s running an older Snapdragon Wear 2100 CPU.

BTW, the original Falster dropped earlier this year around CES.  If anything has been holding Android Wear/Wear OS back in the more recent times, its the OK performance and not that great battery life as the competition is offering more.

The new Falster 2 is due to start shipping in a few weeks on September 12th starting at $275.  Who interested in picking this up or waiting until Qualcomm unveils their new Snapdragon Wear chips?
